Setting up a reminder by phone is easy. It only takes four steps:
Reminders set up by phone automatically will be recorded and sent to your
6channel6 account.
The reminder will show up in your 6channel6 account and can be modified or deleted there.
Premium service users can have reminders set up by phone sent to other phones registered in their account or they can have the reminders forwarded to their contacts.
Users with the basic service don't have that ability. The reminder will only go back to the phone from which the call was made. In other words, only the phone used to set up the reminder will receive the reminder.
The reminder cannot be copied, made into a recurring reminder, or sent via text message or fax. The voice recording file by itself cannot be deleted, however, the entire reminder can be deleted.
You can press a key to stop recording, useful for areas with a lot of background
noise.
The maximum length of a recording is two minutes
For testing purposes, say OK or press the # key when you are asked to confirm a recording. You will receive a call back aout one minute later.
Caller ID will be used to determine who is calling and route the reminder to the
correct account.
Technically, we have the capability to allow a caller to key in a phone number or user ID along with a security PIN. However, we haven't implemented this ability because it makes it too easy for spammers to abuse our service and we couldn't guarantee that only a phone owned by the person who placed the call would receive the message.
The phone number you call from must be registered on our web site so we can
route the call back to your account.
You can set up reminders for yourself and for others in the same household.
If you remain silent, the system will proceed to read the next name automatically. When it reaches the end of the list, it will start over.
